We have been working to put together the list of farm tours and things are very exciting! We hope very soon to be visiting a sheep farm for spring lambing and a local bulb farm for lots of early spring flowers. Other farms include two dairies (one traditional, one organic); beef operations, a farm which produces pastured poultry, and an organic berry farm. We also are scheduling a visit to a creamery which produces very fine cheeses.
Please email me at joan_vance@wsu.edu if you are interested in joining our group! We invite youth 12 + and their families to join us for this series. The counties we will be visiting are (so far) Grays Harbor, Thurston, Lewis, and Jefferson in western Washington.
